Sussex have handed a debut to Ashar Zaidi as they take on Yorkshire at Hove in the Championship today.
Zaidi has not played first class cricket since 2009 but impressed in a trial match for the 2nd XI last week when he took six wickets with his left-arm spin and smashed an unbeaten 192 in the first innings.
The 32-year-old has been playing for Accrington in the Lancashire League for the last three years but is seen as a potential replacement for Monty Panesar.
The former Pakistan A international, who played 88 first class games for Islamabad, is a British cititizen so would not be classed as an overseas player.
Matt Prior also returns for Sussex for the first time since June but will not keep wicket as Ben Brown keeps the gloves.
Skipper Ed Joyce is back after missing the drubbing at Durham as he played for Ireland but Matt Machan - who is available again after playing for Scotland - is left out in favour of Rory Hamilton-Brown.
Steve Magoffin has overcome a virus to keep his place in the side but Chris Jordan and Luke Wright are still unavailable due to England duty.
Yorkshire won the toss and elected to bowl first. You can follow all the action from Hove via our live blog.
