Sussex swimmer Gemma Spofforth kept her medal hopes alive at the Aquatics Centre this morning.
She helped the GB 100 metres medley relay team qualify sixth fastest for tomorrow night's final.
The Shoreham-born backstroker led the GB team off. She handed over in fifth place and that is where the British quartet finished in a fast second heat to make the top eight.
American-based Spofforth had to settle for fifth in the individual 100 metres backstroke earlier in the week.
