Crawley have been linked with a move for Northern Ireland’s record goalscorer David Healy.
Healy is out of contract at Glasgow Rangers this summer and the Scottish Premier League giants have not offered him a new deal yet.
Reds boss Sean O’Driscoll is interested in bringing the striker to Broadfield Stadium after working with him previously during a brief loan spell at Doncaster Rovers two seasons ago.
The 32-year-old, who is currently in Armenia with the national team, has offers from other clubs north of the border but is believed to favour a move back to England.
Sources in Northern Ireland understand Football League newcomers Fleetwood Town are leading the race for his signature but Crawley are also keen to talk to the former Manchester United trainee.
Healy has played in the Premier League for three different teams – Manchester United, Fulham and Sunderland – and has commanded transfer fees in excess of £1million twice.
Only Pat Jennings has played more times for Northern Ireland and has scored 35 goals in 92 appearances.
