Charlie Oatway has warned there will be no easy options in next season’s Championship.
But the Albion coach would love to see QPR avoid a trip to The Amex.
Oatway, a lifelong QPR fan, will keep a close eye on events in the Premier League as well as attending both League One play-off semi-finals as the Seagulls’ division for next season takes shape.
QPR go to Manchester City tomorrow with a two-point lead over Bolton, who are in the drop zone ahead of their trip to Stoke.
Oatway said: “Obviously I’d like QPR to stay up out of personal preference but it’s a tough ask, looking at who they’ve got.
“But, from Brighton’s point of view, I have no preference who comes down.
“I’m going to MK Dons today and the Stevenage game on Monday but whatever happens you will have big clubs involved in the Championship next season.
“It will be a harder league next season. But it would be nice to have a few more clubs from this end of the country!”
Sheffield United drew 0-0 at Stevenage in the first leg of their play-off semi-final last night.
