Albion have handed David Gonzalez his debut in goal tonight – and rested Gordon Greer and Vicente.
Gonzalez comes in for Peter Brezovan, who is not among the 16, while Lewis Dunk returns in defence as Watford visit The Amex.
Wingers Will Buckley, who arrived from Vicarage Road last summer, and Kazenga LuaLua both start outside Liam Bridcutt and Gary Dicker.
Greer is given respite after carrying an injury in recent matches.
Inigo Calderon takes over as skipper.
Craig Mackail-Smith also returns to the starting line-up while Vicente will have to weave his magic coming off the bench.
Albion are aiming to bounce back from their 6-0 mauling by West Ham and end a run of three successive defeats.
Former Seagulls striker Chris Iwelumo starts for Watford.
