Albion defender Lewis Dunk has been shortlisted for the Football League young player of the year award.
The promising centre half is competing with two wingers for the prize, Crystal Palace's Wilfred Zaha and Matt Phillips of Blackpool.
The Argus revealed earlier this month that Albion boss Gus Poyet has been shortlisted for the outstanding managerial achievement award.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London the weekend before Albion's March 17 visit to Blackpool, when Dunk and Phillips will be on opposite sides.
The fixture has been confirmed after the Seagulls lost at Liverpool and Blackpool at Everton in the FA Cup at the weekend.
Dunk is vying with Adam El-Abd to partner captain Gordon Greer at Hull tonight, with Cup tied West Brom loanees Gonzaloa Jara Reyes and Sam Mattock poised to return to the fullback roles.
