Boss Steve Evans praised Crawley's performance after they secured a third consecutive win to climb to second in League Two.
Matt Tubbs struck twice to seal a comfortable 2-0 victory against struggling Plymouth Argyle at the Broadfield Stadium.
Evans was delighted with the performance but also thought his side should have killed the game off earlier.
He said: "We asked the players for a response after a few poor results and they have given it to me.
"Some of the passing and movement today was outstanding but we need to add a bit more of a killer instinct.
"Matt Tubbs did what he does by sticking the ball in the net and was a bit unfortunate not to get a hat-trick. We could perhaps have taken a bit more advantage of some good positions in the attacking third but they also rode their luck a bit.
