Paul Raynor has hailed Crawley’s money men for keeping their title-challenging squad together.
A number of players were the subject of interest from other clubs ahead of the closure of the transfer window last Wednesday.
Matt Tubbs was strongly linked with a move to either Crystal Palace or Charlton, while Millwall and Swindon were reported to be interested in the striker who scored 40 goals last season.
Tyrone Barnett, Josh Simpson, Kyle McFadzean, Charlie Wassmer and Hope Akpan were also on the wanted lists of bigger clubs.
Crawley assistant Raynor would not say where interest had come from but revealed they had rejected a number of bids for star players last week and he believes it shows the ambition of the club.
Raynor said: “The board are rejecting bids for good money and we are delighted to keep the squad in tact.
“It shows with the interest there is in those players that we have some good ones. That’s what we wanted in the summer, to attract some good players to what we had already got. We have done that.
“It is a compliment that those bids came in and it is a compliment to the board of directors and the owners that they turned those bids down because they know what we want to achieve.”
