Crawley have released midfielder Barry Cogan by mutual consent.
The former Millwall player has been unable to claim a regular place in Reds' promotion-chasing side this season and has made just three appearances, one of them from the bench, and made his last start in the 2-1 win oveer Gateshead on September 18.
Crawley boss Steve Evans said: "Barry was excellent for us last season but the form shown by the lads competing for his position has meant he has not been involved on a regular basis.
"He has a great desire to play football and during our conversations it became clear the lad wanted to go and play some first team football, that is what every player should want to do."
