Mark McGhee today challenged a possible new signing to prove he is tough enough for League One football.
The Albion boss is taking a closer look at left-sided midfielder Daniel Severino, who scored in the midweek friendly defeat by Oxford.
The 24-year-old Australian had a spell with Piacenza in Italy before moving to the New Den in 2002 when McGhee was boss.
He did not make a League appearance for the Lions but did enough to prove his ability.
Now the Albion boss will want proof he has toughened up when he takes a look at him this weekend.
McGhee said: "I had him at Millwall for a short time. He has been doing the rounds since then. He had a couple of clubs in Europe, he had a spell in Iceland "I've known the boy for a long time. He's a very good player, he's very enthusiastic.
"But I've never been sure he has been physical enough to play in the League.
"He has now been playing competitive football for a couple of seasons and I'm just having another look at him."
Severino is likely to feature at Aldershot tonight and Albion's clutch of French trialists could also get another chance to shine, either at the Recreation Ground or at Bognor tomorrow.
Guy Butters misses the weekend programme due to a back strain but Adam Hinshelwood, who missed the win at Worthing, is likely to play. Hinshelwood had a hamstring strain but has trained this week.
