Elliott Bennett ensured Albion's season ended with a win as they beat Yeovil 1-0 at Withdean today.
Bennett, runner-up to Andrew Crofts for the player-of-the-year award, added to his collection of superb goals with a right foot blast into the top corner from outside the box.
His 43rd-minute gem was the undisputed highlight of a pretty dull season-ending fixture.
The game was most notable for impressive debuts by youth teamers Mitch Walker and Jake Caskey.
Walker got the start in goal and made fine first-half saves from Kieran Murtagh and Dean Bowditch as well as handling the ball well.
Caskey became Albion's youngest ever peacetime player, 13 days after his 16th birthday, when he came on for a very confident 14-minute midfield cameo.
Albion finish the season in 13th place, nine points clear of relegated Gillingham.
