Marcos Painter wants the talk to be about another top team struggling when Albion go to Charlton.
But he would love it even more if the Seagulls were getting credit for interrupting the Addicks' promotion bid.
Norwich and Leeds have both had to come from behind for any reward against Albion in the last two games.
Both the top two have struggled against Gus Poyet's men.
But Painter puts the emphasis somewhat differently.
The right back said: "I read the papers, watch the TV, and it always seems to be about the top teams dropping points rather than giving credit to the lower teams playing well against them.
"That's the way it will always be. The focus is always on the top teams.
"We've just got to concentrate on our job and keep going."
Painter would love to break another duck tonight having picked up a first point at Elland Road on Saturday.
He added: "I've played at Charlton once, in the Championship last season (for Swansea), and we lost 2-0 so I'd say it's a bad memory.
"It's nice to have the chance to go back and put it right.
"I was thinking the same at Leeds. I'd lost both times at Leeds but it could have easily been the reverse on Saturday and come away with a 1-0 win.
"I've played against a number of the Charlton players because I think they have kept the majority of the squad who were in the Championship.
"Last time Lloyd Sam was the winger and by all accounts he will be playing again. Hopefully it will be a good challenge."
