Albion are ready for a trial of patience as they try to break down Leyton Orient.
The Seagulls will be keen to pass their way through the O's, just as they did to Swindon last Saturday.
Some away supporters were reportedly grumbling about their side passing the ball backwards and sideways in the seconds before Nicky Forster finished with a header.
Now James Tunnicliffe has asked supporters to bear with the players if something similar happens.
The big defender said: “In order to keep the ball and move forwards sometimes you have to move backwards.
“It's a patience thing. I couldn’t hear the crowd complain last Saturday but in previous games I have done.
“I understand why they get frustrated if we are not winning but, looking towards the future, that’s the way we are looking to play.”
