Gus Poyet claimed Albion should have been awarded a late penalty in today's 2-1 defeat at Swindon.
The manager had no complaints about the first half spot-kick given against Jim McNulty for a push on Billy Paynter.
But Poyet was convinced the Seagulls deserved a penalty themselves in stoppage time, when Nicky Forster appeared to be brought down by Alan Sheehan.
He said: "It was definitely a penalty and the referee was right there, so I am very disappointed."
Poyet was also puzzled by referee Jonathan Moss booking Paynter in the second half for lashing out at Adam El-Abd.
"It should have been nothing or red," he said. "Nobody knows why he gave him a yellow. When you are down at the bottom you don't get help, so it's up to us."
Poyet blamed the result on Albion's failings in both boxes. "The trouble is defending in our box and the finishing," added the Uruguayan.
"If you are not strong defending and marking in your own box and you don't put your chances away then you have got no chance."
Gary Dicker is suspended for Orient's Boxing Day visit after picking up his fifth booking of the season in the second half.
