Tommy Elphick has backed Albion’s strike pair to rediscover their goal touch at Swindon today.
Glenn Murray and Nicky Forster missed chances for the Seagulls last time out, when they lost at home to Colchester.
Murray has gone five appearances without a goal since scoring twice in Gus Poyet’s opening game in charge at Southampton last month.
Forster’s only goal under the Uruguayan was a penalty against Rushden and Diamonds in the FA Cup, but he has still netted a healthy 11 times this season and Murray five.
Centre half Elphick is convinced they will both be back on the scoresheet soon.
He said: “We cannot keep relying on them week in and week out. If we had kept a clean sheet (against Colchester) we would have won the game. First and foremost we’ve looked at the two goals we conceded.
“At least we are creating chances. When you are not is when you start worrying.
“It’s probably a little bit of a confidence dent to Muzza, missing some chances, and Fozzy, but they will be looking to put that right and I am sure they will come good again for us.”
Forster has scored six goals in his last four appearances for Albion against Swindon, including both in a 2-0 victory at the County Ground last season.
Elphick said: “Every time I have played against them he has been there or thereabouts.
“We got a good result down there last year when we needed one, but the table doesn’t lie and we have got it all to do.
“I have played against Danny Wilson’s teams a lot and they are very organised."
