Boss Russell Slade reckons Albion are winging their way towards better form.
Slade now has three wide men to choose from after signing Arron Davies on loan from Nottingham Forest for the rest of the year.
Davies made his debut on the left in Saturday’s 1-0 win at home to Wycombe Wanderers.
Elliott Bennett, bought from Wolves last month, played on the right and Dean Cox created the only goal of the game for Nicky Forster after replacing Davies during the second half.
Slade said: “Isn’t it nice when you have got Coxy, Arron and Bennett on the other side?
“Those three I think are terrific. They give us a different dimension and we can change things around. It gives the opposition something to think about.
“I thought Arron was very positive, cutting inside, going on the outside and trying to get the ball into the box.
“He’s a very clever player and he gives us something a little bit different so I’m really pleased with him.”
Albion make the arduous journey to Carlisle on Saturday with spirits lifted by their first victory of the season.
Slade said: “It’s a long trip but we go up there in confident mood. It’s not going to be an easy place – it never is when you take a team up there – but we can go there with a little bit more momentum.”
Andrew Whing’s involvement at Carlisle remains in the balance following the dead leg suffered by the right-back against Wycombe.
Physio Jim Joyce said: "The slight query we had on Saturday was that he lost the sensation in his leg but we think that was because he had nerve bruising.
"I would be reasonably optimistic we can get him back before the weekend, although I can't guarantee that at the moment."
