Mark Wright has no hard feelings about lasting just 73 days with Albion.

The winger was sold to League One rivals Bristol Rovers yesterday after joining the Seagulls in June on a Bosman free transfer from MK Dons.

The 27-year-old from Wolverhampton failed to settle on the South Coast and his chances of commanding a regular place in the team have been reduced by the recent capture of Elliott Bennett.

Wright said: “The first I heard about it was on Monday night. It’s not that I wanted to leave, I just want to be playing regular football which I haven’t been getting at the moment.

“I haven’t really settled well down here either. My girlfriend was going to move down but we couldn’t find anywhere and I have just been based in an hotel.

“I wasn’t playing, which didn’t help. Bristol is an hour from Wolverhampton so this seems the best option.

“I’ve got no hard feelings at all towards Brighton. The gaffer has been brilliant about it.”

Wright has signed a two-year deal with Rovers, the same length of contract he had with Albion.

It will not be long before he is facing the Seagulls – they visit the Memorial Stadium at the end of the month.
