Albion have sold winger Mark Wright to Bristol Rovers, ten weeks after signing him for nothing, and replaced him with long-time target Arron Davies from Nottingham Forest.
The profitable one-in, one-out deal was completed by the Seagulls this afternoon, shortly before the close of the transfer window.
Wright has gone to Rovers for an undisclosed five figure fee, while Welsh international Davies is on loan for the rest of the year.
Wright, 27, was signed on a Bosman free transfer from MK Dons in July. The Wolverhampton-born wide man has struggled to settle on the south coast, making just two starts and three substitute appearances and losing his place recently to fellow newcomer Elliott Bennett.
Davies, 25, played for Albion boss Russell Slade at Yeovil. Slade tried to buy the former Southampton trainee – who can play out wide or as a striker – during the close season but Forest's valuation was too high.
Davies' only appearances for Forest so far this season have been in the Carling Cup.
