Crawley boss Steve Evans has taken two highly-rated teenagers on a month's loan from Championship club Preston.
Dominic Collins, a 6ft 2in central defender, and fellow 18-year-old Adam Barton, a ball-playing midfielder, have both signed in time to join the squad for tonight's trip to Luton Town.
Evans said: "(Assistan manager) Paul Raynor and myself watched the lads play twice recently and they did very well.
"They will both benefit greatly from the experience and we should from their performances. They both had interest from other clubs who wanted to take them on loan so for (Preston manager) Alan Irvine to decide they should join us is great. I am grateful to him."
