Struggling Eastbourne must check on two of their riders before chasing a much-needed point or more at Coventry tonight (8.00).
Lewis Bridger suffered neck injuries in a smash against Poole on Friday night.
The teenager is confident he can take part in his last fixture at No. 1 before slipping back down the order when new averages come into play.
Meanwhile Ricky Kling’s poor form in the 48-41 reverse to Pirates has been put down to illness.
Eagles team manager Trevor Geer will chat with the Swede this morning.
A lower league guest will be called in if Kling cannot ride.
Regular No. 8 Chris Schramm has a meeting for parent club King’s Lynn.
Geer said: “Ricky was really struggling on Friday.
“It was only after the meeting that Simon Gustafsson told us Ricky has been saying beforehand he was not feeling well.
“We never knew anything about it. As it turned out, he had four rides and four lasts.”
Eagles are now one point clear of Poole and have as five-point gap over bottom-placed Belle Vue, who host Ipswich on Wednesday.
Coventry have brought back Jordan Frampton for struggling Filip Sitera.
Coventry: Harris, Frampton, Allen, Kennett, Schlein, Wells, Barker.
Eagles: Bridger, Gustafsson, Watt, Woodward, Dryml, Nermark, Kling.
