Liam Dickinson has been backed to continue his hot form for Albion at Millwall tomorrow night.
Former Seagulls and Lions striker John Byrne believes Dickinson will be a big danger in the clash at The Den.
Dickinson is on course for a hat-trick of goals after stunning strikes in the last two games against Stockport and Huddersfield.
He was on target at Millwall last season during a loan spell with Huddersfield and Byrne, who summarises on Albion home games for BBC Radio Sussex, reckons the summer signing from Derby is getting better and better.
Byrne said: “I have been quite impressed with him. He seems to be improving with every game.
“I like his work ethic. He chases things down, probably too much at times. He gets himself in wide areas when you would want him getting on the end of things.
“He has obviously got a decent strike and he is not afraid to pull the trigger. We saw that in the first game against Walsall, when he went close from about 50 yards.
“I’d like to see him score one off his shin from six yards but that will come.”
Dickinson and Nicky Forster are poised to start together away from home for the first time in League One this season at Millwall after Forster also scored against Stockport last Saturday.
Byrne said: “I think Liam looks better in a partnership with someone else.
“I don’t think playing alone, holding the ball up, suits him as much. His forte is going the other way, because he has got pace to burn.
“There were a couple of times against Stockport when the two of them were playing close together and linked up, which is what you want to see.
“Hopefully there partnership is going to develop.”
Albion will face a Millwall side still reeling from their tempestuous Carling Cup tie at West Ham, which saw the Lions beaten 3-1 in extra-time having led 1-0.
