Albion boss Russell Slade believes his side should have celebrated their first goal of the season today.
The Seagulls had the ball in the net in the first half of their 0-0 draw at Brentford.
Andrew Crofts' close range effort was ruled out for a foul on the goalkeeper following Kevin McLeod's cross.
Slade said: "As a biased Brighton fan, I think I saw it as a perfectly good goal.
"I thought we were well worth a point today, if not all three."
He added: "We created the better opportunities.
"Michel didn't really have a save to make.
"I thought we defended very well.
"They were pretty direct. It wasn't easy to get the ball down but when we had little pieces of play and used Dean Cox in the hole we played some good football."
Slade is awaiting reports on left-back Jake Wright, who went off with a hamstring injury in the second half.
The Seagulls chief said: "It was a shame because I thought he was having his best game to date."
