Dmitry Tursonov won the inaugural men's event in the AEGON Championships at Eastbourne today.
The Russian second seed overcame Canadian qualifier Frank Dancevic 6-3, 7-6 in 82 minutes.
Tursonov required only one break of serve, in the eighth game, to capture the first set of a low-key final.
The world No. 27 had surgery on his left ankle last month and he needed treatment on it towards the end of the second set before taking the tie-break 7-5.
