Boss Russell Slade praised Calvin Andrew and Lloyd Owusu after they helped Albion claim what could be a crucial point at Huddersfield in their battle to avoid the drop.

Andrew bounced back from missing a glorious chance early on to head Albion level after Andy Booth had opened the scoring.

Owusu was at fault for giving the ball away in the build up to Michael Collins' second goal for Huddersfield but made amends by nodding home the Seagulls' second equaliser of the afternoon.

The point means Albion's fate is still in their own hands with Carlisle only able to draw at Cheltenham.

Slade said: "Calvin had a great chance and Lloyd also had a chance and gave away the ball for the goal but credit to them because they have not let it get them down and scored important goals.

"I think we have got to be satisfied as we have come from behind twice in the game and that showed great character.

"It is going to go to the last game of the season now which is what we didn't want but we would have taken the position we are in two or three weeks ago."

Slade admitted he did not have a good view of Huddersfield's opening goal which Tommy Fraser claimed to have headed away before it crossed the line.

But he was critical of the defending which led to both goals.

Slade added: "I'll have to have a look at the video as it looked very tight.

"The disappointing thing is I've talked to the players about not giving the ball away in crucial areas and not conceding from set pieces but sometimes they go back into old habits."
