BOSS Russell Slade has warned his Albion players they are not out of the relegation mire yet.

The Seagulls are two points clear of the drop zone with two games to go after Tuesday’s third away win on the trot, and fourth victory in five overall, at Bristol Rovers.

But Slade is guarding against any complacency creeping into the camp ahead of today’s final away game at Huddersfield and next Saturday’s climax to the season at home to Stockport.

He insists it could still all go horribly wrong if the players are lulled into believing the hard work has already been done.

Slade said: “It ought to be done with the form we have showed. It ought to be over but it quite clearly isn’t.

"Okay, the pressure may have shifted a little bit towards the likes of Crewe and Carlisle but we cannot relax for one second.

“If we relax or take our focus off what we need to do for one second then we will get kicked in the teeth.”

Huddersfield are on course to finish eighth or ninth and Slade is already tipping them for an even better showing next time.

He said: “I think they are going to be one of the strong contenders next season for sure.

“They’ve got a good squad of players. I am sure there will be more coming in.

“I think Lee Clark will strengthen up again. I know the coach there Derek Fazackerley, very well and I just think they are going to be a real force next season.”

Slade’s Yeovil side earned a 0-0 draw at the Galpharm Stadium earlier in the season but keeping a clean sheet will not be easy for Albion.

The match has been turned by Huddersfield into a tribute to their legendary striker Andy Booth, who is hanging up his boots.

Slade said: “I know he is retiring but he is not going to out like a wet lettuce. He is going to perform, that’s for sure.

“Then you have got (Danny) Cadamarteri and a very strong midfield, who ever they pick, so it’s going to be a tough game.”
