Albion have been handed a boost ahead of their trip to Craven Cottage this week.

Fabian Hurzeler’s side travel to the capital on Thursday as they look to make it four games unbeaten in a row.

Fulham, however, will be without captain Tom Cairney after his red card against Tottenham on the weekend.

The midfielder had an eventful cameo against Spurs as he came off the bench in the second half.

Cairney netted the Cottagers’ equaliser to cancel out Brennan Johnson’s goal.

However, he was shown his marching orders in the 82nd minute after a VAR decision.

Cairney was initially shown a yellow card for his raking challenge on Dejan Kulusevski, but after review, it was upgraded to a red card.

The suspension comes at a bad time for Fulham, who are also missing a number of stars through injury.

Former Crystal Palace star Joachim Anderson is out with a calf injury and is not expected back until late December.

Jorge Cuenca, Harrison Reed and Vinicius are all expected to miss the Albion match.

Sasa Lukic will also miss the game as he is also currently suspended for the Cottagers.

Fulham boss Marco Silva admitted that Cairney will be a "big absence" for his side when they face Albion.

He said: “He's really important for me. Of course, he's not a young player no more, [but] I know his qualities.

“I know some things that he needs to keep improving, but I love him as a football player, I have to say. Probably if I got him a little bit younger, he's going to be fantastic for me, because what a player he is.

“It's going to be a big absence for us, definitely. We have Harrison Reed out as well, next game Saša Lukić is not going to play because he got the fifth yellow card as well.
