Fabian Hurzeler says he loves the idea of safe standing at the Amex.
Part of the North Stand will be fitted with rail seating in time for next season.
Hurzeler has seen similar facilities in Germany and sees it as a plus.
He former St Pauli boss said: “It's interesting, it's also a good feeling that the Premier League adapts a little bit to the German league!
“So that's something new. I think it's a great thing because I experienced a lot.
“There are great atmospheres in the Bundesliga and in the German stadiums.
“It's normal that some people are standing. It's especially normal in my former club, in St Pauli, I experienced this.

“I don't know if it's because they're standing or not.
“I can't say it, but it’s great support, very loud support, very emotional support.
“I don't know if it's like because you stand and when you stand, you do more movement and you're just more active in the game instead of just sitting and watching.
“But maybe it's a thing and it's great that we do it. I really love it.
“And I really love also that we are open to new things.
“This club shows that they are open to new things.”
He added: “Maybe in two, three years, we are sitting here and the whole stadium is standing and that was just the starting point.
“Let's see how this develops.”
