Fran Kirby will head back to the England squad with a major statistical landmark under her belt.
But Albion boss Dario Vidosic says the next game matters more than numbers for the Lionesses star making a big impact at her new club.
Kirby recorded her 100th goal involvement in the WSL as she helped set up her team’s first in their 3-2 win over West Ham.
She then kicked off her second century with the late winner.
That finish showed all her experience as she took a touch and carefully placed her shot.
But Vidosic believes she is still learning and enjoying a new lease of life even after years of starring for Chelsea and her country.
The Albion head coach said: “Hopefully she can give us another 100!
“That is a fantastic achievement and something I wasn’t aware of.
“I think for her as well, she doesn’t look too much at that.
“It is always about the next game and how she can stamp her mark on the game.
“When we needed her, she was there.
“Not just for us but I think what she has done with longevity in the league and everything she did at Chelsea, all of that she has brought to us as well.
“You see the quality on the pitch but then it is also what she does in the changing room, on the training field, in the gym.
“The demands she sets as well. She is the first to lead by example.
“She has been tremendous for us and she is still learning a lot as well.
“She is still learning that No.10 role and how we can keep putting her in these positions.
“We expect that each week everyone will get better and better “There are different challenges each week but for us and for her it is a terrific group.”
Kirby now has 66 goals and 35 assists in the WSL, just the fourth player to reach three figures.
The Lionesses face the USA – coached by former Chelsea boss Emma Hayes – at Wembley on November 30, before then taking on Euro 2025 hosts Switzerland in Sheffield at Bramall Lane.
Albion are preparing to face Leicester at Crawley on Sunday in the Conti Cup on Sunday and the first game back after the subsequent international break will be a major test at Chelsea on Sunday, December 8.
