Ruairi McConville could be set for more international action after winning his senior cap.
The Albion under-21 centre-back went on as substitute to help Northern Ireland beat Belarus 2-0 in the UEFA Nations League.
A draw away to Luxembourg will be enough to secure top spot and take them out of League C.
McConville, who was called into the squad amid injuries, was sent on for the final stages.
Michael O’Neill revealed he was happy to give the 19-year-old that chance after he impressive in training.
The Northern Ireland boss said: “He’s a good, good young player.
“He’s been very impressive this week. I felt at the time we needed a bit of height and obviously Ruairi brings that.
“The only way I felt we were ever going to lose a goal was a set-piece so it was good to get him on the pitch but it wasn’t a case of just giving him the debut just for that.
“We needed it at that point in the game and he helped us see the game out.”
There could be further opportunity in Luxembourg.
Oxford defender Ciaron Brown, booked for time-wasting, will miss Monday’s game through suspension.
O’Neill was already missing the injured Paddy McNair, Eoin Toal and Jamal Lewis.
Belfast-born McConville joined Albion in July, 2021, having previously played for Linfield.
