Ferdi Kadioglu has been told to rest “a small issue” as he aims to be fit for Albion.

The Turkey international is not involved with his national team during the current international break.

He missed Albion’s 2-1 win over Manchester City with a toe injury.

Media were advised he might need to rehab during the international break but should be fine to face Bournemouth when action resumes.

Speaking after the City match, Albion head coach Fabian Huerzeler did not specify a return date but said the injury was not major.

Huerzeler told a press conference: “I hope he can use now the time to rest and doesn’t have to travel to the Turkish national team so that he can recover.

“I think it is very important. He has not a big issue but he has a small issue and if you do not recover those issues, it won’t get better so hopefully he can rest.”

Kadioglu suffered the setback after scoring his first Premier League goal in the2 -1 defeat at Liverpool.

Speaking after that game, Huerzeler said: “He is adapting now. You see he adapts to the intensity of the Premier League.

“He is very flexible. He can play as a right full-back, right wing so he gives us different things as a player.

“I am very happy he in our squad and I am sure he will improve day by day because he also has this personality where he really wants to improve.

“He is asking for this help and it is up to us to give him the right advice for his development.”

Carlos Baleba was also withdrawn from international action as he regains full fitness.

Baleba has been troubled by a knee problem but was fit enough to produce an outstanding 45 minutes in the win over City.

Cameroon agreed to Albion’s request for him to stay in Lancing during the current fortnight.
