Fabian Huerzeler has called for more consistency from Albion - after two good halves against the Premier League elite.

The Seagulls came from a goal to beat Manchester City 2-1 having let slip a lead to lose by the same score at Liverpool a week earlier.

Huerzeler revealed why the win over Pep Guardiola’s side can be a big moment for his young team.

He said: “Unfortunately a win against Man City only gives three points.

“That is why I think we should be proud, we should be happy.

“The club should be happy and they should also take the self-belief and the self-trust away from this game.

“That they are able to beat everyone, that they are able to compete with the establishment .

“But on the other side I think it also very important to stay humble, to stay grounded, to keep working, to keep focusing on the process.

“Because in the end in the last two games against Liverpool and City, we had two games and four halves and we only played two halves like we can play.

“The other halves we weren’t good.

“Also today in the first half we weren’t good enough, we weren’t intense enough and like this you can’t compete with the establishment.

“Now it is about us bringing more consistency in our style of play.”
