Dario Vidosic apologised for not thanking Albion fans for their backing on a tough night at the Emirates.
But he hopes they can repay their support with a big performance back at the Amex.
The Seagulls went down 5-0 to Arsenal in the WSL on Friday.
It was their first major disappointment under Vidosic’s charge and he was keen to talk to his team after the game.
Albion return to action on Saturday when West Ham visit the Amex (12.30pm).
Vidosic, whose side were 3-0 down at half-time, said: “We are all disappointed. We wanted to give the travelling fans something to be proud of us.
“We fell short but we thank them for coming.
“My apologies to them. I asked the goals to come in and we weren’t able to then go and thank them personally.”
Although they suffered a narrow defeat at Manchester City, this was Albion's first major setback under Vidosic's guidance, although they remain a point ahead of the Gunners.
The Seagulls boss said: “We were probably our own worst enemies at times for some of those goals.
“There were things we spoke about.
“We knew their qualities, what they possess and we just got that a little bit wrong with the ball and without the ball, especially in the first half.
“I thought in the second half we were better but for not long enough periods.
“Against one of the best teams in the world and in England, they will punish you – and they did.”
