Pervis Estupinan’s hard work against Mo Salah caught up with him, according to a Match Of The Day pundit.
Joe Hatt believed the Albion left-back did not want to allow Salah to cut inside on the attack which saw the Egyptian star score Liverpool’s winner.
Salah switched the ball on to his left foot and found the far top corner to send the Seagulls to a 2-1 defeat.
Estupinan’s body shape as he chased back seemed to suggest he wanted to usher Salah down the outside.
Former England goalkeeper Hart said: “We all know here you cannot let Mo Salah inside.
“But I want to emphasise how hard he has been working in this game to shut Mo Salah down.
“We know he wants to show him on his right foot.
“But there’s lead in his legs. He’s absolutely shattered and Salah can feel that.
“He knows he is not as sharp as he was in the first half.”
Hart criticised Ferdi Kadioglu for a “half-hearted” attempt to stop Cody Gakpo putting the ball in for the equaliser.
He added: “Brighton’s intensity in the first half was absolutely bang on it.
“Brighton were winning everything. All the 50-50s, turning the ball over.”
