Fabian Huerzeler will not draw too much reference from Albion’s cup win over Wolves.
And he is not sure the most recent evidence gives them a clear idea of what to expect at the Amex tomorrow, either.
Albion blew hot and cold in their 3-2 Carabao Cup win over the Wanderers, having led 2-0, but Huerzeler says he cannot take too much guidance from that evening into the Prem clash.
He added: “I think it’s difficult. It’s a long time ago now. I think there were different players on the pitch. On our side, but also on the side for Wolverhampton.
“They changed in the last game against (Manchester) City their formation.
“Maybe they play again a back five or a back four, we don’t know, so we have to prepare for both.”
Huerzeler was impressed by Wolves’ efforts in the 2-1 defeat by the champions.
He said: “One thing won't happen, we won't underestimate Wolverhampton because when you see their games, first of all, they had a really tough schedule, so they had tough games since the beginning of the season.
“And second of all, the truth is that they play well.
“In every game they had the chance to win or to make to make a draw, and that's why we won't underestimate them.
“It will be a hard challenge. They have quality, they have individual quality, they changed their formation to a back five and they defended very compact.
“Against City they had players who made good transitions – Semedo, Cunha, Lamina is a good ball carrier. Larssen is a good target player.
“So one thing won't happen – especially not in the Premier League, and what I learned especially the first games – you can't underestimate any opponent.
“Every opponent has quality and you have to pay attention. For 90 minutes you have to defend well against them. You have to be good in counter pressing and you have to make the next step as a team, and that's the challenge for us.”
