Guro Bergsvand enjoyed an old-fashioned defensive battle in Albion’s win at Crystal Palace.

But the centre-back hopes they show more of their slick attacking work when they return to the Amex.

The Seagulls host Manchester United tomorrow (12.30pm) looking to build on the 1-0 success they ground out up the M23.

Bergsvand was outstanding in that game and expects a different challenge this time.

She told The Argus: “I will take a clean sheet every day.

“Obviously, I am a defender, I love defending.

“But as a team we weren’t happy with the performance and obviously I am a big part of that.

“We are happy with three points and a clean sheet and that’s that.

“We have put that game behind us and we want to show the Amex on Saturday that we are better than we proved on Sunday.

“It is going to be a big game and we are playing a big team.

“I think this game is going to be different.

“It is a different opponent, they will give us different challenge than what Palace did.

“We took what we could from it and then we have been focussing on Man United.”

That United test means coming up against Elisabeth Terland, a former Albion team-mate and a colleague in the Norwegian national team.

Terland scored two fine goals in last week’s 3-0 win over Tottenham.

Bergsvand said: “Obviously I know her well and I have told her that she is going to have a harder game than last time!

“Hopefully she is not scoring his time, let’s just put it like that.

“She is a good player, a good finisher and as a friend I want her to do well.

“But when she comes here I don’t want her to score or do well at all.”

Tickets for the United match remain on sale via the club website priced £12 for adults and £6 concessions.
