Jaydev Unadkat is on board for Sussex’s first season back in the top flight.
The India seamer will be back at Hove for the final stages of the 2025 season, similar to this year and 2023.
He will join a Sussex side coming to the run-in of their first season back in Vitality County Championship division one.
Unadkat has also agreed to return in 2026.
Head coach Paul Farbrace indicated Unadkat would be back next term as he spoke during the recent title-clinching draw with Middlesex.
Farbrace said: “Everyone at Hove is very pleased and excited that Jaydev has signed a two-year extension and will be returning to the club for the next two seasons.
“Jaydev’s quality on the pitch has been so evident for everyone else to see, but just as importantly his qualities as a person make him one of the most popular and nicest guys any team could wish for.”
Sussex will have the same set-up in terms of overseas players as in 2024, including Daniel Hughes, Jayden Seales and Nathan McAndrew.
Unadkat said: “I had a fabulous time with the boys, on our way to winning the division two title, and I would like to congratulate everyone at Sussex, including our passionate fans.
“I can’t wait to be back for the next season and further.”
