Pervis Estupinan will return to international action after being told he is back to his old self.
The Albion left-back starred in the second half of the epic comeback win over Tottenham.
He is expected to play as left wing-back against Julio Enciso’s Paraguay in Quito tonight.
Albion head coach Fabian Huerzeler sent on Estupinan at half-time against Spurs and said: “He was the Pervis I saw how he played I think one year ago, before his injuries.
“He made a great performance. He came in and played with energy, he played with intensity.
“He played with quality and like this he is a very important player for us.
“But also for him, you need to give time. He came off a long injury, a bad injury and he played so many games before this injury.
“Now it is about us to take care of him.”
Estupinan memorably shouted "I'm back!" into a TV camera after scoring against Tottenham last season.
But he arguably sent out the same message with his peerformance versus Spurs this time.
Estupinan will not face future Albion colleague Diego Gomez, who is suspended for tonight’s fixture.
