This was the scene at the Amex as Albion honoured a former boss.
Barry Lloyd guided the club to promotion from the third division in 1988.
He also took them, against all expectations, to within one game of the top flight in 1991 as they reached the play-off final.
Lloyd later played a key and often unsung role as chief scout.
He also managed Worthing after a playing career which took in Chelsea and Fulham.
Fans and players stood to applaud Lloyd, who died recently at the age of 75, between the singing of Sussex By The Sea and kick-off as Albion played Tottenham.
