Fabian Huerzeler said he was proud of his team’s energy and reaction as they served up an Amex classic.

Albion looked out for the count as they trailed 2-0 to a free-flowing Tottenham side.

Goals from Yankuba Minteh, Georginio Rutter and Danny Welbeck scored in a stunning 20 second-half minutes which will go down in Amex folklore.

The 3-2 win sends Albion up to sixth place going into the international break.

Head coach Huerzeler said: “I have a lot of trust and belief in the potential of the team.

“At half-time we spoke about fulfilling our plan with more energy and being more intense.

“We weren’t ready for the intensity of Tottenham in the first half.

“I’m proud of how the team reacted.

“We showed character, took responsibility and then created chances in the second half.

“Not much was changed at half time. We played well when we had possession in the first half and created a lot of changes.

"It was missing the intensity and being ruthless on the ball.

“We said at half-time we have to get our self-confidence back and focus on the small things we can control. We got on the flow, worked hard and created changes.”

“It’s possible to win against every team if you trust in yourself and that’s what my team did in the second half and they deserved to win.”
