Solly March returned to action on a ten-out-of-ten day for Albion under-21s.
March started the 10-0 win at home to Crystal Palace in Premier League 2.
The popular winger, sidelined for almost a year by a serious knee injury, played the first 25 minutes as planned.
First team head coach Fabian Huerzeler had spoken yesterday about March’s progress in training.
His team-mates went on to complete a huge win having led 2-0 at half-time.
Cam Peupion scored a second-minute opener and Ruairi McConville rose high to make it two by the half-hour.
Caylan Vickers scored a hat-trick with Josh Duffus also on target.
Jamie Mullins, a Harry Howell brace and, in injury time, Marcus Ifill took Albion into double figures.
They go second in the table with 13 points from six games.
Albion: Fisher, Tasker, McConville (Simmonds 69), Turns, Samuels (Slater 69), March (Howell 25), Mullins, Knight, Peupion, Duffus (Ifill 67), Vickers.
