The Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation are appealing for support from Albion fans at the Amex today.

Albion’s Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest is the BHAFC Foundation’s official community matchday.

The charity will be highlighting the impact of their community work across Sussex throughout the day, as well as collecting donations around the stadium.

The BHAFC Foundation support around 20,000 young people each year by delivering free football sessions, supporting girls’ football, assisting local schools, and providing access to disability football.

Albion fans will be able to donate on the day by finding one of the Foundation’s team members, who will be dotted around the stadium wearing orange tabards.

A recent study showed that, for every £1 invested in the Foundation programmes, they generate £8.84 of social value.

This has been calculated through the Social Value Bank to estimate the economic and social contribution that Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation makes to Sussex.

This means that over the past five years thy have created £140 million worth of social and economic impact locally.
