Harry Howell converted his third penalty of the week to give Albion under-21s an away win.
The teenager’s 89th-minute spot kick secured a 1-0 success at Nottingham Forest in PL2.
He found the bottom corner after Josh Duffus was fouled.
The hosts had been reduced to ten by that stage.
Howell put away two penalties in the EFL Trophy defeat at Wycombe on Tuesday and also scored in open play against Reading last week.
Albion: Fisher, McConville (Tasker 46), Simmonds, J. Vickers (Mills 46), Ifill, Mullins, Knight (Albarus 76), Slater, Howell, C. Vickers, Flower (Duffus 61).
