Marisa Olislagers says joining Albion has been an eye-opener.

But the Holland defender signed from FC Twente has been learning fast under coach Dario Vidosic and his staff.

Olislagers was still checking on details with the help of a tactics board as she and Vidosic waited to start their press conference.

She told The Argus: “Right now I have been learning a lot.

“The style of football is different to what I have been used to before.

“I think, with the style of play, I really like it, it is really attractive.

“I think I am growing and learning.

“I still need to improve a lot but it is getting better and I enjoy it.”

Olislagers’ fellow former Twente defender Marit Auee has joined the Seagulls.

Summer arrivals also include Chelsea and Serbia midfielder Jelena Cankovic, Hacken and Tanzania winger Aisha Masaka, Glasgow City and Scotland midfielder Rachel McLauchlan, young Arsenal striker Michelle Agyemang (loan) and goalkeeper Hannah Poulter.

The huge amount of changes meant it was key the squad all get to know each other.

Olislagers, 24, said: “On camp we went out for dinner with the girls.

“Then we all had to make a little speech and be thankful to everyone.

“The new signings all had to say something for a couple of minutes. It was fine!”
