Albion boss Fabian Huerzeler loves his wing options – after a starring midweek role for Simon Adingra.

The head coach is weighing up his choices to face Nottingham Forest at the Amex.

He praised Adingra after his goal and all-round performance in the Carabao Cup tie versus Wolves.

But he is also pleased with others who have featured in wide areas.

Asked specifically about Adingra’s chances, Huerzeler said: “I have different options. Of course we have (Kaoru) Mitoma, we have Georginio Rutter, who can play, we have Simon, we have (Yakuba) Minteh.

“We have great opportunities to start with several options.

“I am very happy how Simon is integrating in the team. How he brings his performance on the pitch.

“He is doing great statistics, great numbers so far. He has always an impact on our results.

“In the end that is very important for us.

“Of course he will be also an option to start on Sunday.”

Mats Wieffer is a contender to start in midfield although Huerzler has been pleased with Carlos Baleba and Yasin Ayari in that area.

Asked whether Baleba and Wieffer could become his first-choice pairing, Huerzeler replied: “I want to bring consistency into my starting XI. I think it’s important to build connections on the pitch, to build relationships.

“So, we are working on this and yes, it’s an option that they play together.”
