Fabian Huerzeler says Albion have a few things to learn from their Carabao Cup win over Wolves.

But he will be happy if they do not repeat errors he saw in their 3-2 success in the Carabao Cup.

The head coach said: “Results are the most important but often it is not that I judge the team by the results, I judge them by the performance.

“Today was more like a learning game for all of us.

“How you manage a game, what you have to do to win games like this.

“We weren’t top, especially near the end of the game.

“We did not manage a game like we should manage a game.

“We didn’t control the game like we should control the game in some situations.

“Of course you need results but, on the other side, I always try to focus on the process and there are still a lot of things we have to improve.

“I want the players to learn from their mistakes.

“Everybody makes mistakes and the most important is to learn and don’t make the same mistake twice.

“Try to improve every day. I am very happy with the attitude from the players.

“They know that there is still a lot of potential but it is always a step-by-step process.”
