Fabian Huerzeler said Albion can be satisfied with their 1-1 draw at Arsenal.

But he was a little disappointed they did not go on to win after Joao Pedro equalised against the ten-man hosts.

Albion made another tentative start but appeared to have settled before conceding a soft opening goal to Kai Havertz, who finished well.

Declan Rice was sent off with the Gunners well on top early in the second half and the game changed from that moment.

Huerzeler said: “It was a tough start for us. We suffered in the first ten or 15 minutes.

“After that we were better in the game. We had good pressing moments.

“We also controlled the game better in possession.

“I think from that point it was a really good game from us.

“Then the (Arsenal) goal happens out of nowhere and we have got to be honest, it was bad defending from our side.

“The second half changed because of the red card.

“We dominated the game completely from that moment, we created chances, we made the 1-1.

“We had chances for the second goal but we also have to be honest that we could concede the second goal for Arsenal.

“We were not consistent in our counter-pressing.

“We were not consistent enough in the rest defence.

“In the end, it feels a little bit like disappointment because of course we wanted to win the game.

“But I think we should be satisfied with the point.

“It’s a fair point, a fair draw.”
