Fabian Huerzeler called Arsenal’s Kai Havertz a “full package” midfielder who is excelling for club and country – but he should “chill for 90 minutes” against Albion.

The Brighton manager praised his compatriot for being a “special player” and said he was happy to see the impact he has had on the Premier League.

But Huerzeler joked that Havertz should “rest a little bit” at the Emirates before continuing his good form the week after.

Speaking to media prior to the Arsenal game, Huerzeler said: “For me he [Havertz] is the full package.

“He is good in the air, he is good with his feet, he can pass, he can dribble, he can protect the ball. He is very clever in how he presses, so for me I love to watch him play, not only since he has been here in the UK but also before.

“And I think he helps Germany a lot. He’s a special player for Germany and I’m happy he has had this impact on the Premier League.

“On Saturday he can chill for 90 minutes. He can rest a little bit and then afterwards he can continue performing and smashing the other opponents.”

Havertz has been wreaking havoc for Arsenal as one of their star attackers alongside Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka who were both singled out by Huerzeler for their performances.
