A football club held a "Met Gala-style" ball to herald the start of the season.
Lewes Football Club's women's team celebrated their first game in style on Sunday at the Dripping Pan home stadium.
A purple carpet was laid for fans dressed to the nines, who sashayed down the strip posing with a giant loo-roll in a nod to the club's new sponsor, Who Gives A Crap, an eco-friendly toilet paper brand.
VIP guests were also in attendance, such as Olympian Karen Pickering MBE , Guy Pratt, a bassist who has played with the likes of Pink Floyd and Madonna, and performers from the Glyndebourne opera house.
Guests were treated to cocktails and food as well as a DJ set from Lewes local Char Collins at half time.
Lewes FC’s commercial manager Stef McLoughlin said: “ The culture in women’s football is fun and joyful.
