Joao Pedro has been nominated for the PFA men's young player of the year award.

The Albion and Brazil forward, who scored a stunning goal against Villarreal on Saturday, is one of six players on the short-list.

He joins Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and Crystal Palace's Michael Olise.

Former Albion defender Maya Le Tissier has been shortlisted for the women’s award.

The current Manchester United and England star progressed into the WSL with the Seagulls, having arrived at the club from her native Guernsey at the age of 16.

She had four years with Albion.
