Amber Anning dug deep to secure another medal for Great Britain at the Olympics.
The Brighton and Hove runner secured bronze in the 4x400m relay.
She held off stern opposition from Ireland to complete her leg in 48.92 seconds.
Team GB needed a national record time to get on the podium.
USA won by a huge margin and Netherlands came through for silver.
Victoria Ohuruogu, Laviai Nielsen, Nicole Yeargin and Anning secured the medal for the Brits.
The race soon became a dogged battle for silver and bronze after Anning pulled Great Britain into second on the back straight but, as she approached the finish, found herself in a neck-and-neck battle with the Netherlands and Ireland.
